Dr Małgorzata Niziurska

Education
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Ceramics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, where she also defended her PhD in technical sciences in 2019. Since 2001, she has been working at Łukasiewicz - Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials. She also completed postgraduate studies in quality management systems at the Cracow University of Technology. Since the beginning of her career, she has been involved in the field of construction chemistry, conducting numerous research and development works and industrial implementations. For several years, she was involved in the implementation of management systems in various areas of the Institute's activities, research , certification and operation of ch Technical Assessment Body. She is the author of numerous publications and expert opinions on construction product technology and testing.

Area of operation
She is currently implementing the Institute's research and commercialisation policy in the field of innovative technological solutions for industry. Her current focus is on the implementation of low-carbon and energy-saving technologies in line with Sustainable Development and the Green Deal, as well as the commercialisation of solutions developed h at the Institute (ceramic technologies, including ballistics, biomaterials, solutions favouring the reduction of negative environmental impact). A project particularly close to her heart is the launch of fire safety research on building materials at the Institute. The Institute is already one of the leaders in fire research in Poland and is developing a modern Centre for Fire Safety and Acoustics.
