Very subjective list of recommended places in Krakow
Where would we take a friend to show them the best of Krakow?
When you are at the trade fair in Krakow, you absolutely should use your free time to explore the city! Below is a very subjective list of places recommended by our team.
-
Alchemia and Alchemia do kuchnii (Alchemy from the kitchen)
Alchemia is an iconic and one of the oldest club cafes in the heart of Krakow's Kazimierz district.
"Our cuisine is inspired by our travels and the experience we gain by tasting local specialties in different parts of the world. You can find with us memories of London pubs, Italian and Greek taverns, Asian markets and streets around the world. But we don't forget about our Polish culinary tradition." -
SALTA Resto
-
Nowy Kraftowy
Great kraft beers, tasty bites and a very climatic interior! Subjectively the perfect place for a casual getaway with your team after the fair. We recommend making a reservation in advance!
-
Nolio
Probably everyone in Krakow has already heard about their wonderful neapolitan pizza. But we're not going to talk about it. Be sure to try the desserts there, especially the cheesecake.... Love from the first bite.
-
Cafe Szał Rooftop Bar
Cafe Szał is one of the best located cafes in Krakow. The terrace of the cafe offers a picturesque view of the Main Square!
The entrance to the cafe is not quite obvious - head up the stairs after entering the National Museum.
-
Krakus Mound
Recommended for a pleasant walk! The area around the Krakus Mound is a vast green area with benches, picnic blanket spots and one of the most beautiful views of the city! Right next to it is the Lebanon quarry. Krak's Mound is undoubtedly one of the most charming green corners of Krakow with a legendary story that says that the mound is the grave of the founder of Krakow - Prince Krak.
The charm of the place is added by the beautiful Liban quarry nearby, named after the co-founder of the labor camp that existed here during the war. The area of the camp was used for shooting the camp scenes of Steven Spielberg's film Schindler's List. A stage set (a road made of matzevot) was built for this purpose, numerous fragments of which remain today.
