SAERTEX is well known for its expertise in production of NCF fabrics made of glass, carbon and aramid fibers. In addition to the previously used basalt, linen is now a second biofiber that expands the range of textile possibilities. In cooperation with the leading French manufacturer of linen fibers – company Terre de Lin - the production of NCF flax fabrics was developed and implemented.

Flax fibers are renewable and have minimal environmental impact during processing. Thanks to this, manufacturers of composite elements can reduce the carbon footprint of their products, and thus are in line with the SAERTEX vision, to make a significant contribution to minimizing the use of non-renewable materials and fossil fuels.

Their good mechanical properties and the ability to damp vibrations allow them to be used in many applications, such as the production for marine  or other industrial composites. These fabrics may not fully replace fiberglass fabrics, but they are one of the significant ways to reduce CO2 emissions.
